The Art Research Centre of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, a public research institution, was established in 2018 by merging of the Institute of Theatre and Film Research of SAS and the Institute of Art History of SAS. The Centre conducts basic and applied research in the field of history and theory of art (theatre, film, visual arts and architecture) and artistic culture.
